We wanted to be a place where families could find help. That's how we started, with a simple belief. We believe that, together, we can help create margin in people's lives. We know that providing food assistance (free of charges and fees) to families in need allows them to use the income they have on other needs. Like prescription medication, or gas, or their utility bills. Every little bit helps. If a mom or dad can pick up a food box with bread, spaghetti and sauce, perhaps with a little ground beef or turkey, that's one or two meals they don't have to worry about. The beans and rice will stretch the budget and menu some, too. Laundry detergent? Feminine products? Of course! When we have items like these, we make them available to families in need. Sounds simple? Maybe. But many people who come to us know that it's not.
