We wanted to be a place where families could find help. Even before COVID-19, access to food in our community was limited. So we were here to help create margin in people's lives. We know that providing food assistance free of charge to those who need it allows them to use the income they have on other needs, like their prescription medication, or gas, or their utility bills. Every little bit helps. If a neighbor can pick up a food box with bread, spaghetti and sauce, perhaps with a little ground beef or turkey, that's one or two meals they don't have to worry about. The beans and rice will stretch the budget and menu some, too. Sounds simple, but many people who come to us know that it's not.
